Poland on Mundial
We cannot consider Poland as a good football partner... Still, each match was a kind of holiday for all Poles. I also celebrated those 3 meetings: with Equador(2:0 for E) , then Germany (1:0 for G.) and Costa Rica (2:1 for Poland!)
The worst match was the first one, it took place on the first day of Mundial. But definatelly I spent this 90 minutes in great company =)
We met at Lukas place, with flag, chips and beer (= football fan equipment). There were bets: who's gonna win (95% were patriots, claiming that Poland is gonna win ha-ha-ha), we payed half Euro for each bet. As there was no winner, we shared that amount of money equally.
It was really funny. Especially, when we observed how weak polish players were... It was for sure much better on Poland- Germany meeting. In entire history of football, Poland never beated Germany, so the statistics were held (we lost the game again).
Today was the last performance on Mundial 2006 for Poland.
It was Mecz o pietruszke that means Game for parsley and that means game for nothing/ game to save face. Poles shoot 2 gols, but seems that the coach of polish team is gonna be booted out anyway...
