before coming back for Xmas to Poland
post, version 2
Lukas was working from Mon, Tue and Wed, so these days we had only evenings to visit London. One evening we meet some Lukas friends from Kraft, the other day we went to the cinema ('Deja vu' http://dejavu.movies.go.com/) .
Thursday and Friday we had for sightseeing and... xmas shopping of course! This was an experience... River of people hunting for gifts, and most of them still didn't know what are they hunting for! We bought most of things that we wanted and we continued with discovering L-N. The best was definatelly Salvadore Dali exhibition. This guy was amazing, crazy about hands and legs, clocks, animals and sexuality =)
Friday, apart from famous London places we also went to London Aquarium. And guess what! SEAHORSES were there!
In the evenig we had to start packing our stuff, next day at 8 was our bus.
I started reflecting on how London is, and here are my impressions
- it's big. no matter which subway station we were at, it seemed that the city is endless
- people spend a lot of time like rats- under ground. traveling by metro should be promoted as hobby, othervise you might hate it like nothing else
- it's hard to find englishman in L-N. There are so many nations, people from all over the world, among them it's hard to feel outstanding, coz all the faces are so different!
- London is the city of young people. I hardly saw people over 40, not mentioning grannies!
- Capital of England is freeqing expensive. (do i have to explain it?)
- There are so many polish people there! And you don't have to look for them! You just go to the cafe or shop, and you see the bedge with 'Ania' or 'Kasia' on it!
